Petra Consultants, Inc. has been in business since 1989.  The Corporate Office was located in Tuscaloosa, AL prior to moving to Brewton, AL.  This company was started by a Nurse specializing in services for Research Organizations, Monitoring, Education and Data collection for the Pharmaceutical Industry.  Then the company branched into consulting for Long Term Care Facilities and focused strongly on the long term care industry and the research community until 2000.  As the Company grew it was later sold to a husband/wife team.  The wife was a Pediatric/Neonatal Nurse.  Acute Care Services were expanded at that time.  Now the company has relocated to the Southern Part of the State where overhead cost will be less.  Also with 21st Century Technology, it is easier for the company to utilize Independent Contract Consultants and Educators.  This provides them with total autonomy to control their work schedules and be innovative.
