There are two organizations that offer management certification exams for acute care facilities

American Nurses Association

American Organization of Nurse Executives

There is one organization that offers management certification exams for long term care.

 National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care.

Staff Development/Education Courses:

The American Nurses Association offers the only certification exam for Nurses working in Education, Professional Development and /or Staff/Clinical Education.

Medical-Surgical Nursing Courses: 

The American Nurses Association offers the only Med-Surg Nurse Certification Exam.

Critical Care Courses:

  The American Association of Critical Care Nurses offers certification exams for Progressive Care and Critical Care Nurses.

Emergency Nursing Courses:

The Emergency Nurses Association offers certification exams for Emergency Nurses, Transport Nurses and Flight Nurses.

Long Term Care Courses:

  The National Association of Director of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care offers certification exams for Directors of Nursing in Long Term Care, Registered Nurses in Long Term Care and LPN/LVN’s in Long Term Care.
