The CFRN® (Certified Flight Registered Nurse) certification is the certification specific to flight nursing and measures the attainment of a defined body of nursing knowledge pertinent to that particular specialty. A role delineation study is conducted approximately every five years to assure the examination reflects current flight nursing practice. Although there are CFRNs throughout the world, the CFRN® exam is based on flight nursing practice in the United States.

Eligibility Recommendation

		At the time of application and examination BCEN certifications require:
		a current, unrestricted RN license
		or a nursing certificate that is equivalent to a registered nurse in the United States or its territories.
		two years of experience in related subspecialty of flight nursing
